This video was shot in honor & in the memory of Paul Jonathan Maidman & for his family and friends. At approx.3:00am on April 9th, 2010, Paul Maidman, age 28 was hit & killed by Miranda Dalton, age 29. Paul Maidman was struck from behind when Miranda Dalton’s Jeep Cherokee plowed into Paul’s Buick at 89 miles mph. Mr. Maidman was fatally injured & died in en route to the hospital. Statistics report that every 33 minutes a person is killed by a drunk driver in the United States. Although this was Dalton’s SECOND DUI offense, she managed to post bond and was ordered to wear a alcohol monitoring bracelet. The tragic death of Paul Maidman went from being a local news story to national headline news due to an unbelievable but miraculous twist of fate. On May 1st, less than 1 month since Paul’s death, the Maidman family received a phone call tipping them off to the fact that Miranda Dalton had been spotted inside the SAME bar where she had been drinking the night she had killed Paul Maidman. Even MORE irreprehensible was the fact that this night just so happened to be what WOULD have been Paul’s 29th BIRTHDAY!! Dalton took drastic measures to avoid detection by dying her hair black, tampering with her alcohol monitoring bracelet and sporting a pair old maid glasses.
